The company Martia was established in 1990 under the business name MARTIA s.r.o, Metering and regulative technology and its activities commenced in 1991. The company was transformed to joint-stock company in 1996 which is its legal successor.

Today, the headquarters of the company is based in Usti nad Labem and has its own production, projection, logistics and financial base. The company presently employs 126 full time employees. The company's activities within the Czech republic and abroad are pursued through five regional centers based in Liberec, Ostrava, Praha, Vysoke Myto, Usti nad Labem and Kolin.

• December 1990 - establishment MARTIA s.r.o Metering and regulative technology, legal predecessor of MARTIA a. s.
• November 1995 - our controlling system iRSM received a Grand Prix prize at the international expo Pragotherm 1995.
• August 1996 - transformation of the limited company to a joint-stock company.
• January 1997 - the company was presented with a certificate of quality system control according to ISO 9 001 standard.
• January 1999 - start of our consultation and information energy center.
• November 2001 - the beginning of providing general maintenance and M+R service for SETUZA a. s. in Usti nad Labem.
• November 2002 starting the hydrogen stokehold for burning excess hydrogen on the grounds of Spolchemie a. s.
• January 2003 - re-certification MARTIA's quality system control according to ČSN EN ISO 9 001:2001 standard.
• June 2003 - obtaining an environmental management system certificate according to ČSN EN ISO 14 001 standard.
• December 2003 - starting of the Energy KAROSA branch which operates and maintains energy and infrastructural appliances for KAROSA a. s. Vysoke Myto including the purchase of all fuels, energy and water for the company.
• July 2004 - authorization of company's metrological branch according to the law no. 505/1990 for metrological code, verifying resistance thermometer used as parts of thermal gauges, parts of gauges measuring flow rate, parts of a given gauges for general use or balance measuring (with or without converter).
• December 2004 - starting of Maintenance electro SETUZA branch which provide maintenance and service of electro equipment especially for SETUZA a. s. in Usti nad Labem.
• June 2005 - obtaining a Qualification No. 3148/5/05/PZ-M-VII for installation and reperation the gas systems.
• November 2005 - on the occasion of the 12th international fair Aquatherm expo 2005, the company carry off special award for use of waste hydrogen for production of heating energy. The hydrogen is burned in our hydrogen stokehold and the production of heating energy is supplied to Spolchemie a. s.
• 1st - 2nd February 2006 - successful re-certification MARTIA's quality system control according to EN ISO 9001 : 2001 standard.
• March 2006 - obtaining a Qualification No. 4671/5/06/R-PZ-E,F,G for revisions and tests the gas systems.
• 26th June 2006 - successful re-certification MARTIA's environmental management system according to ČSN EN ISO 14001 : 2005 standard.

Supply of mechanisms, technologies and operating systems

MARTIA's new program is pre-project, project, supplying, fitting and engineering activities for industry and energy in measuring area and regulating technology, operating systems, fire and security signalization and access and attendance systems. We specialize in application of technological equipment operating systems and operating systems for heating plants and water company's networks and town infrastructure.

Energy economical projects

In last few years we focus more and more on the realization of energy economical projects, part of these projects is providing complex consultation services, processing requests for possible grants, realization and operating these projects and financing the investment with achieved savings.

Energy audits

Part of our activities in the economical area is the use of energy, which we successfully provide in energy audits according to law no. 406/2000 of energy economy code since 1997.

Measuring and regulating services for energy

Very successful area of the company's activity in the recent years became supplying service in area of energy equipment operating, operating of industrial company's energy management, providing repair work and maintenance of measuring and regulation of electrical equipment.

Metrology services

Metrology branch provides metrology services in area of calibration and checking of professional gauges of pressure, temperature, electric quantities, length and metrological check up of complete measuring chain. The branch uses quality operating system according to ISO 9 001 and etalons are in concord with state etalons law no. 505/1990 of the metrology code.

Metrology branch is authorized according to law no. 505/1990 of metrology code for control of resistance sensor thermometer.

Production and distribution of heat energy

Important part of our company's development is the construction and running of our own and rented heat energy sources and the distribution of this heat to further users in blocks of flats to public buildings and industrial estates.

Consultation and information branches and their activities

1. Energy consultation and information branch

   Specialized and long-term practical experience of the company technicians in the area of Economical energy use with positive influence on the environment helped the company to become one of the members of the Association of energy auditors for which Martia became the Usti nad Labem county regional office.

   The subject of The Energy consultation and information center activity is providing free consultation services for public in order to increase its knowledge about economical use of energy.

2. State commissioned consultation information center for support in area of panel blocks reconstructions

   The company provides consultation services in the area of flats reconstructions built with panel technology and it is the warrantee person to give statements for the application of state grants which is given for reconstructions of houses built by panel technology - program "PANEL".

Technological development

The company pays great attention to technological development and application of new technologies in area of measuring and regulation technology and data transfer for technological operation and measuring. The company developed its own operation system iRSM in 90ties which newest version iRSM 2000 is used for operating technological and energy mechanisms and in the area for technological appliances of buildings. The company also supplies and implements service for operating systems of the top world producers such as Siemens, General Electric, SAIA, Sauter, etc.

The company has been a holder of the certificate for quality operating system since January 1997. In 2006 the company successfully completed re- certifying audit of the system according to ČSN EN ISO 9 001:2001 standard.

Quality operating system is certified for the following activities:

• Project preparation, production, supply, fitting and service of technological and energy complexes, operating systems and mechanisms for measuring and regulating technologies in area of energy, industry and building technologies,
• Providing of metrological services and consultation in the area of metrology,
• Production of heating and its distribution,
• Consultation in the area for energy and fuel economy and the use of renewable and secondary energy sources.

In June 2003 the company Martia obtained the certificate for the system of environmental management according to ČSN EN ISO 14 001 standard to gain concord with valid laws in the area of environmental protection and obligations in the area which arise from our membership in European Union. In July 2005 the company successfully absolved re‑certification audit of the system according to EN ISO 14 001:2004 standard.
